How do auctions work? Auctions run online on a weekly basis. Vehicles are listed as timed lots and dealers place bids from any internet-connected device, no physical attendance required. When a lot closes, the highest bid above the reserve price wins. If the reserve is not met, the vehicle may be relisted at the seller's discretion. Can I set a reserve price? Yes. Sellers can set a reserve price for each vehicle. The reserve is the minimum amount the vehicle will sell for. If bidding does not reach the reserve, the lot will be passed in and the seller may choose to relist or negotiate privately. What is the bid extension rule? To ensure all bidders have a fair opportunity to respond, the auction timer is automatically extended if a bid is placed in the final moments of a lot closing. This prevents last-second bidding from determining the outcome unfairly.
What happens when I win a vehicle? Once a lot closes and your bid is the highest above the reserve, you will receive the seller's contact details to arrange payment and collection directly. Dealer2Dealer does not handle vehicle payments, the transaction is completed directly between buyer and seller.Who arranges vehicle collection and transport? Collection and transport are arranged directly between the buyer and seller. What happens if a vehicle is misrepresented?
